Over the course of this last week and weekend I was able to take a few more proactive steps towards the completion of my Audi. Earlier in the week my carbon fiber hood arrived, and within hours I had it mounted on my car. It looks amazing. However, because of the nature of creating a mold using fiberglass, there were some small thickness issues that prohibited my stock grille going back on.
Using this opportunity for greatness (as I always try to do), I disassebled my stock S4 grille and broke out the Krylon. (I love Krylon. It is the BEST spray-paint.) The shiny silver bezel and the charcoal grille are now matt black. I didn’t foresee this to be such a drastic change but it really makes the S4 badge pop right of the grille. And the silver rings look glorious.
Now if only my carbon trunk would get here…
